Could you prepare a meal fit for a Queen?

The royal household is seeking an “ambitious and qualified” Demi Chef de Partie to work full-time at Buckingham Palace, and other royal residences, as needed.

Working with the teams in the royal kitchens, the job advertisement promises that “every day will be different” as the successful applicant prepares receptions, state dinners, and, slightly less glamorously, staff lunches.

Although the wages aren’t great (The advertised salary of £20,604.52 per annum translates to just under 35 thousand dollars) the position is live-in with training, meals, recreational activities and a pension included.

Saturdays are a day off, in addition to 33 days paid holiday per year.

If you’re interested in cooking for her majesty, you must be a British citizen or have already obtained the legal right to work in the UK…and you’ll have to hurry – the competition closes January 1st, 2018.
